My Awesome Weight Loss Program

June 11th, 2009

Other than physical appearance weight affects a person in many ways. This could be the overall quality of life self-esteem. There are a lot of positive changes once a person experience weight loss.  It is for this reason why a lot of people are searching for a weight loss Supplements that will surely trim down those fats and get a super slim head turner body.

The first thing that an over-weight should do is seek a doctor to recommend the best weight loss regimen. This will be done after a full physical examination, which leads to the determination of proper weight loss technique. And to lose weight fast and effectively four aspects of life should be changed: what to eat, how to eat, behavior and activity level.

Here are fast tips that can change an over-weight s life

Fast weight loss composes of a multi-faceted technique that consists mindset, exercise, and in other cases, diet supplements.  Begin by learning a diet food plan that can easily be accustomed with.  Incorporate an exercise plan that allows even at least fifteen minutes a day like dancing.

Set realistic approaches.  The ability to focus and have proper mindset enables someone on a diet to quickly lose those extra pounds. With discipline and proper mind set, a dieter will never be discouraged and lose focus.

Listen as the body speaks.  Each and everyone’s body metabolism reacts differently to different fast weight loss programs and plans.  Try substituting one program for another to compensate the body’s reaction.  Exercise program must be suitable to one’s body, as others are not able to exercise as rigorously as others can.  If walking is all that can be done, then walk for this is proven the best exercise.  Muscles burn more calories than fats so it’s also best to put on a little muscle and looking good too.

Take lots of fluid.  Drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day keeps the body refreshed.  Since weight loss depends on how the body eliminates body wastes, the body must stay hydrated.

Eat more fibers for it makes a person full sooner and stays in the tummy longer, slowing down the rate of digestion.  A single serving of whole grain bread moves fat through the digestive system faster.  Grains turn into blood sugar that spikes the body’s insulin level.  Thus, making the body more energized and ready to tell the body when it should stop burning fats or start storing.

Keep away from fried foods especially deep-fried as this contains a great amount of fat.  Although fish and chicken appear leaner than beef, this white meat can contain more fat

Change Your Lifestyle

June 1st, 2009

The massive weight-loss industry offers us slim-down products that appear everywhere:

TV commercials, magazines, different websites, etc.

Some of the products, like diet pills promise even that the weight will be lost right away, in hours.

We constantly hear that to obtain a slim figure a proper nutrition and work out are necessary.

But despite all only 5% of attempts to lose weight and maintain it end in success, according to FDA.

America’s problem is that all this is aimed on individual weight loss and not on American lifestyle in general, which is fast food on the first place as well as shopping online, quick dinners in front of television, eating in movie theaters, etc.

In short, the lifestyle that is very comfortable. But it is important to understand all the dangerous consequences of such a lifestyle and start to center social events around “active fun” like long walks or dancing instead of over sized, fried meals and alcohol.

People need to make nourishment - not gluttony - a priority of eating once again. And latte lunch breaks is better to substitute with exercise breaks especially for people leading a sedentary way of life.

Every person, no matter overweight or slim, needs to understand it and try to change his/hers lifestyle.

Stay Healthy

May 24th, 2009

According to experts one way that the average person can cut down medical expenses is to make lifestyle changes that can help them stay healthier longer.

A recent study found that people with chronic diseases who participated in self-management and self-training were able to improve their health.

Lifestyle has a lot to do with many of the HEALTH issues we see in primary care on an average clinic day. The issues that we see that are lifestyle related are typically those related to obesity.

These include diabetes, heart disease, stroke, degenerative arthritis and certain cancers.

While people often concentrate on cutting fat from the diet, they also should look at other factors, such as refined sugars, specifically high-fructose corn syrup, as well as starches or carbohydrates.

Smoking is another lifestyle factor to consider.

In general, the cost of smoking both to the individual smoker and to our nation continues to rise. The number of health problems smokers’ face is significantly more than the nonsmoker. We’re talking bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma, emphysema, heart disease, stroke and numerous cancers.

One way to stay healthy is through exercise.

Diet is another lifestyle issue.

Who Knew? Foods can put your health in harms way

April 29th, 2009

Who Knew? foods can put your health in harms way:

Chocolate

Who can resist chocolate? Like it your not,

Chocolate is made with cocoa beans and cocoa beans contain a chemical called Theobromine, which is toxic to you. So on Valentine’s Day, you’re actually being kind to your best buddy if you eat all the chocolates yourself!

Read my special report on chocolate at http://www.healthy-nation.net/ chocolate to learn more, and see how different types of chocolate have varying effects on your health.

Fatty foods

Fatty foods are hard for you to digest and can can overtax the pancreas, leading to pancreatitis. This can threaten your health and is potentially fatal.

Nuts

Macadamia nuts should be avoided. In fact most nuts are not good for your health since their high phosporus content is said to lead to bladder stones.

Onions

Onions, especially raw onions, have been shown to trigger hemolytic anemia in Body(Stephen J Ettinger, D.V.M and Edward C. Fieldman, D.V.M. ’s book: Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine vol. 2 pg 1884.) Stay away from onion powder too.

Potatoes

Potato poisonings among people are rare but have occurred. The toxin, solanine, is poorly absorbed and is only found in green sprouts (these occur in tubers exposed to sunlight) and green potato skins. This explains why incidents seldom occur. Note that cooked, mashed potatoes are fine for your health, actually quite nutritious and digestible.

Artificial Sweeteners

Xylitol is used as a sweetener in many products, especially sugarless gum and candies. Ingesting large amounts of products sweetened with xylitol may cause a sudden drop in blood sugar in dogs, resulting depression, loss of coordination, and seizures. According to Dr. Eric K. Dunayer, a consulting veterinarian in clinical toxicology for the poison control center, “These signs can develop quite rapidly, at times less than 30 minutes after ingestion of the product” states Dr. Dunayer, “…therefore, it is important that pet owners seek veterinary treatment immediately.”

Turkey

Turkey skin is currently thought to cause acute pancreatic in your body, partly due to it’s high fat content.

Other foods listed by the ASPCA as harmful:

Alcoholic beverages

Avocado (the only “fatty” member of the vegetable family)

Coffee (all forms of coffee)

Moldy or spoiled foods

Salt

Yeast dough

Garlic
